The treaty to reduce nuclear power should not be passed. It is a defense that the U.S. has used for a long time and it has helped us win wars and save lives. This is only a treaty to please Russian minds and it is not in the best interest of the country. It leaves us vulnerable to attacks and lets other countries get ahead of us in the nuclear power.
I think you're right. This really is just something to please the Russians. We should be able to construct nuclear missles because we can't stop other contries like Iran or North Korea from doing it. So we need the protection and the weapons just in case one of them decides to use theirs.
ReplyDeleteGiving Russians nuclear power will only hurt the interest of the world. Weapons can be created and only harm the rest of the world. We didnt trust Russia during the cold war so how can we trust them right now with nuclear technology. THe US should have treaties and other interactions wity Russia just not dealing with Nuclear power.
ReplyDeleteI believe that this treaty is more of a peace offering than anything else. It will not prevent Russia from actually using their nuclear bombs. The treaty is more of a sigh of good will. we should send it but still have our bombs ready to go if we need them.
ReplyDeleteI agree and disagree with your statement. I think its a bad idea for the US to sign it. I also believe it makes us vulnerable. But I think need to almost make a counter offer because we need to work something out with Russia.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I think that signing the treaty like brad said will make the US more vulnerable like Brad said. In a perfect world peace exists, but thats not reality so I believe that we shouldn't stop construction on nuclear missals and power because we need to protect ourselves and we would be behind as far as technology goes on nuclear power.
